Artificial intelligence is no longer just a business tool—it’s a diplomatic one. India, China, and Russia are increasingly aligning their AI policies to counter Western control of standards, infrastructure, and ethics. This emerging framework is shaping a “third pole” of global tech governance.
In 2025, the three nations launched the “Eurasian AI Partnership” (EAIP), aimed at fostering open-source research, joint data-sharing agreements, and educational exchanges. The partnership encourages local AI model development—India focusing on linguistic models, China on industrial AI, and Russia on cybersecurity and automation.
Beyond technology, this collaboration represents a strategic realignment. By pooling resources, these countries aim to ensure digital sovereignty while promoting an alternative to Western AI ethics frameworks. The result could be the foundation of a decentralized, equitable innovation ecosystem—one where emerging economies dictate their own AI destiny.
