Gulf carriers are expanding their Asian networks as travel demand accelerates and tourism partnerships strengthen across the region. Airlines from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar have announced new routes to India, China, Southeast Asia, and Japan, supported by rising passenger numbers and enhanced bilateral aviation agreements.
The UAE’s flagship carriers have added frequencies to Delhi, Mumbai, Manila, Jakarta, and Osaka, responding to increased business and leisure traffic. Saudi Arabia’s aviation expansion strategy is driving new connections to emerging destinations such as Chengdu, Kuala Lumpur, and Ho Chi Minh City, aligning with the Kingdom’s goal of becoming a global aviation hub.
Qatar Airways continues to widen its Asian footprint with expanded services to South Asia and Northeast Asia, supported by strong transit flows through Doha. New partnerships between Gulf tourism boards and Asian travel agencies are boosting visitor arrivals, while airport expansions in Riyadh, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi provide additional capacity.
Freight operations are also rising as e-commerce trade strengthens between Gulf logistics hubs and Asian manufacturing centres. With aviation demand expected to grow steadily, Gulf–Asia air connectivity is set to deepen further.
